Snowsweet
SnowSweet is a deliciously sweet apple with a slight tartness to it making it an excellent late-season treat. This particular apple has a snow white flesh that is slow to oxidize making it a great choice for salads and other dishes that can be made in advance.
SnowSweet apples take on an almost bronze appearance over a green background. This is a beautiful apple that excels in cooler temperatures. Introduced in 2006 by the University of Minnesota, the SnowSweet was created by crossing a Sharon with a Connell Red.
The SnowSweet’s appearance is similar to that of a MacIntosh with the skin being red on the side that faced the sun and green on the shaded side.
