SweeTango® was created in 2009 by crossing a Honeycrisp and Zestar! Varities by the University of Minnesota Apple Breeding Program. SweeTango® is like no other apple in the world – crisp and juicy with a smooth texture. We harvest this particular variety of apple in late August and early September. That means this apple is only available for a few months in the late summer and fall.

With citrus notes, a touch of spice, and a sweet honey finish – this is a sweet treat like no other. You can easily spot a SweeTango® apple by the light yellow spots on either side of the stem. This apple even has a Facebook page where its fans post their love daily.

SweeTango® is grown by growers in the Next Big Thing Grower’s Cooperative. This variety grows in seven regions around the world.
